Update

It's been a while since I've posted, with little access to the internet, and a semi-functional computer it's been hard to communicate. I have just started at Winners as an allocation analyst - had my first day of the actual position today - so far so good!

Toronto has been good to me, and I really have no complaints. Just moved in with my brother, and so far everything is smooth besides a minor problem with moth infestation which is honestly unlike anything i have ever experienced before. I wouldn't recommend it unless you in fact enjoy a super-high drycleaning bill.

Last piece of news, is that I got published! Well sort of, by an online magazine. Check it out

6 Weird Things

I guess this is the latest form of chain letter? Anyways here are 6 strange facts that you might not know about me...

1. I am exactly 3 years and 11 1/2 hours older than my little brother. We share the same birthday (I'm January 6, 1981 at 8:42 am, he's January 6, 1984 at 8:12pm) . I always have to worry about wishing someone else on my birthday, but I don't mind much!

2. When I was little, I had three snoopy dolls - Jacket Snoopy, Normal Snoopy & Rubber Snoopy. I lost Jacket Snoopy while I was in Toronto & wrote him a letter to come home. Normal Snoopy somehow ended up becoming the Dog's toy and not mine (I was never consulted on the matter, but the dog, whose name was also Snoopy, was quite adamant about the fact that Normal Snoopy was his toy and not mine). I still have Rubber Snoopy. He has travelled from Toronto to Delhi, to Singapore, to Montreal and to finally to New York City. He is older than most of my classmates from FIT.

3. When I was little I used to be extremely tall for my age. I guess I just stopped huh?!?

4. On a more morbid note, I had appendicitis and almost died when I was 17. They couldn't stitch me up because my appendix ruptured and the toxins spread (or whatever happens when it ruptures - I was on too much morphine to know the difference). I was a few hours from shock when they operated, and so they left the wound open to heal over the next month or so. Interestingly enough, I never met the Doctor who was supposed to have performed my surgery, so my cousin thought it was all a big conspiracy!

5. I am terrified of heights especially on escalators. I can't look down, I'm so afraid of falling! In addition, I am also afraid of pigeons (thanks Dara), ivy branches, honey combs, the undersides of mushrooms, the sound of metal scraping on metal and poking my eye out.

6. I have this problem with matching socks. Somehow I just can't do it. I can organize all other aspects of my life, but socks just defeat me. I'm not sure why...but I lose them everywhere!
