Finding myself in your pocket
A penny at a time,
Smudged together in
Copper twos, threes and fours
Pressed up against the faded
LIRR ticket
Stub with which you came to
Me, folded over a
Debit card receipt with
Which you bought me dinner
Ink stains leak onto the
Shopping list I gave you
To pick up from the corner
Store, which stands in front of
The tissues you plucked from
My box for your allergies
Which hides the crumpled
Photograph of us here,
There, today, forever.
